How does the
suppression list work?
Before
jMailerPro sends a piece of e-mail, the recipients e-mail address is
checked against it's internal suppression list. If the recipient is on
this list, they will be skipped, and receive no e-mail. This can help
you stay compliant by not contacting those who request it. When a
recipient unsubscribes from your list using jMailerPro's unsubscribe
link, they will be automatically placed on this list.
With
jMailerPro's bounce processing, e-mail addresses that generate
permanent bounces will automatically placed on this list as well.
jMailerPro attempts to detect "blocked" bounces vs. errorous ones to
help you maintain your IP reputation.

Do I need to maintain
the suppression list?
Not
typically. If alot of your messages are bounced with a "(blocked)"
message on the end, you may want to delete those, once you isolate the
problem. But, under normal circumstances, once a user is on the
suppression list, you will want to keep them there.

Should I always scrub my list before sending to it?
Not
necessarily. It doesn't hurt anything to do so, but if a person is on
your suppression list, jMailerPro will always skip them when sending.
